Mumbai :  Rajat K Tangri, an established Australian-Indian designer label that specializes in high-end western couture and prêt today unveiled two stunning mini collections at multi-designer store ATOSA in anticipation of the celebrations around Christmas and the New Year. The designer who is very popular in Bollywood with several A list films styled by him, has most recently styled Priyanka Chopra and the cast of Mary Kom, and has also his creations donned by fashion’s iconic divas including Kangna Ranaut, Chitrangda Singh, Sushmita Sen , Sonam Kapoor and several others for appearances on the red carpet. Actresses Mughda Godse, Shriya Saran, Urvashi Rautela, and many others attended the evening at Atosa dressed in Rajat K Tangri, to celebrate the designer’s new collections and the start of the festive season.

In keeping with the dramatic evening themes, Rajat’s first collection uses jewel tones with fine detailing serving as stylish accents on the fitted dresses and jumpsuits for women. International fabrics specially imported from Japan and Italy, give a hint of structure and volume to the looks, with luxury craftsmanship and fine finishing of each piece in keeping with the label’s principles of comfort, sensual elegance and urban style.

The second mini collection uses a pastel color palette juxtaposing elegant nudes and beiges with a hint of metallic gold. The mood is deeply enhanced by the texture and detailing of the label’s specially developed 3 dimensional metallic and crystal embroidery inspired by art deco jewelry.

Strength and structure contrast elegantly with fragility as the collection’s gowns with their liquidy flow maintain the label’s philosophy of being feminine and sexy in an ethereal way.  The sharply tailored, classic silhouettes of the dresses showcased in this versatile collection give it an instant dynamic edge.

A structured gown with a cowl lapel, embellished with antique embroidery creates a dramatic statement, while a magnificent dress in fully embellished guipure lace creates an unforgettable fantasy in tune with the theme.
