The American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts (ACEC/MA) has named Fitzemeyer & Tocci as a 2021 Bronze Engineering Excellence Award winner for their work on the Hitchiner Manufacturing Plant No. 5 Building in Milford, NH.

Hitchiner® Manufacturing Co., Inc. is the premier industrial manufacturer and supplier of various casting-based assemblies and components that are needed for automotive, aerospace and other industries around the world.  The growing demand of their high-tech, proprietary manufacturing services resulted in the need for a brand new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility  to be designed by Fitzemeyer & Tocci and constructed at their main campus in Milford, New Hampshire.  The building design needed to strike the perfect balance between energy efficiency, operability and cost effectiveness; while being able to be a show piece for the Milford campus and prospective Clients.

The 2021 Engineering Excellence Awards were recently announced and will be celebrated at the virtual ACEC/MA Engineering Excellence and Awards Gala. The awards celebrate innovation, ingenuity, and excellence in engineering achievement. Entries for the 2022 Spring Engineering Excellence awards are now available.

“The ACEC/MA Engineering Excellence Awards Competition recognizes engineering achievements that demonstrate the highest degree of merit and ingenuity,” said Dennis J. Baker, President of ACEC/MA and Vice President and Area Manager for WPS. “We celebrate this year’s outstanding engineering achievements, congratulate our winners and thank them for their contributions to improving the quality of our everyday lives.”
