  • Agents-FAM-to-Mauritius---SMauritius Tourist Promotion Authority ( India )recently organised a travel agents familiarisation trip for 6 Southern India agents which took place from 11-15th November.The agents were from Chennai and Bangalore . The group experienced  different accommodations categories and stayed in Shanti Maurice Hotel , Blumarine Attitude Hotel and Jalsa Beach  Hotel & Spa.

    The objective of the trip was to showcase the destination and activities which are very exciting but not familiar to the Indian Tour Operators. The itinerary included visit to  Chamarel Seven Colored Earth,  Pamplemousses Garden, Caudan Waterfront and Sugar World. The agents were thrilled with the  Interaction with the Lions at the Casela World of Adventure which proposes a series of activities for the whole family in one place. At Casela, one can enjoy Interacting with wild cats; walk with lions, Segway Tour, Quad bike tour, Photo safari, Petting farm, Mini-golf, Longest Zip line in the Indian Ocean, Canyon Swing and Canyoning.

    The travel agents were truely excited to experience a world of mind bending fun at the curious corner of Chamarel which has a gallery of interactive illusions and art. The highlight of the trip was the Seakart experience where one could be captain of the boat and enjoy the pleasures of guiding it around the lagoon even without a boat permit!  The Seakart is a very stable boat which is very easy to operate and very safe. A one of its kind experience was the Submarine Dive being run by Blue Safari. The agents enjoyed a dream adventure going underwater to a depth of 35 metres.  Seeing a shipwreck, exploring the rich coral reefs of Mauritius, and observing and encountering various species of fish were parts of the Submarine trip.
