Agriculture Ministry will organize Rabi and Kharif Conference next week in New Delhi to review performance of the preceding season and prepare strategies for the coming season.

The Ministry will review the production performance of Kharif-2015 season and will take stock of inputs to ensure timely supply and creating awareness of new technologies, innovations in crop production and allied sectors.

The Rabi season is as important as Kharif in ensuring the nation’s food security.

Agriculture Ministry’s strategy is to maximize the rabi output against the backdrop of rainfall deficit in some parts of the country.
