  • NEW YORK:  The PR Trust is pleased to welcome Alnoor Ladha, media strategist, civil society advocate and grassroots community builder to our Advisory Council. Mr. Ladha brings extensive global experience in climate communications to the PR Trust.

“For twenty years Mr. Ladha has focused on bettering global communities through strategic communications,” says tobias c. van Veen, Executive Director of the PR Trust. “He brings invaluable grassroots experience with communicating social issues around inequality and climate change, two of the most important challenges we face today in developing civil society.”

Mr. Ladha has served on numerous boards including Greenpeace International USA (2012 to 2017) and the P2P Foundation (2015 to 2018). He is co-founder and Executive Director of The Rules, a global network of citizens dedicated to changing the rules that create inequality, poverty and climate change. He is currently co-founder of Tierra Valiente (Brave Earth), a sustainable community and alternative healing center in Costa Rica.

“I am honoured to support the PR Trust as they address the major issues of our time — climate change and growing inequality — as part of their mission to better communications in civil society,” said Mr. Ladha, who holds an MsC in Philosophy and Public Policy from the London School of Economics (LSE), and a BBA in International Business and Economics from Simon Fraser University.

From 2010 to 2013, Mr. Ladha was a Partner and Head of Strategy at Purpose, a movement-strategy consultancy and incubator based in New York City. His work has been published by Al Jazeera, Truthout, Common Dreams, Occupy.com and Fast Company among others.

The PR Trust recently launched a global call for experienced industry mentors for our Mentor Program in Global Communications. The Global Communications Mentorship facilitates the personal and professional growth of young professionals in developing countries through relationship building with experienced industry mentors. The Program is designed for senior undergraduate and graduate students in any discipline who wish to pursue communications and public relations as a career.

“The PR Trust is looking for experienced professionals who are passionate about sharing their expertise,” said tobias c. van Veen, Executive Director of The PR Trust. He added that becoming a PR Trust Mentor provides a unique opportunity to develop relationships with up-and-coming communications talent in the developing world.
