“Grand start of 23rd Amity Inter Institutional Sports Meet “Sangathan 2021”.

The torch of the 23rd Amity Inter-Institutional Sports Mega Event “Sangathan 2021″ commencing from today, reached Amity University’s Greater Noida Campus, where it was welcomed with beats of drum and full of enthusiasm. “Sangathan” is a mega sport event, organized every year across Amity Education Group, where thousands of students participate in various sport activity with great enthusiasm, and it lasts for about two months. Amity Institutions across the globe participates in these sport events.

Today, the torch was welcomed at Amity Greater Noida Campus by Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor, Amity Universities. Group Vice Chancellor along with Head of the Institutions, faculty members and staff took the torch to every part of campus.

Group Vice Chancellor while addressing the gathering briefed the history being this event and its journey of 23 years. Dr. Singh mentioned that Sangathan was started by Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group 23 years ago and being organized every year under the guidance of Dr. Atul Chauhan, President of RBEF & Chancellor Amity University. Group Vice Chancellor while motivating students said that sports free us from troubles, stress and worries, sports help students to study better, improves concentration, problem solving skills, and memory. Those who consider sports as an essential part of life can face the problems in life. He motivated all the present students that all must play some sport every day, emphasizing that when the children and youth of our country will be healthy; it will help a lot in the building of great country.

The current chairperson of this sport event, Dr. Kalpana Sharma, while explaining the importance of the SANGATHAN to all the audience said that sports develop team spirit among the students and makes them physically and mentally strong. Dr. Sharma briefed about various sports activities under the banner of Sangathan 2021.

Vice President Prof. Bhawna Kumar, Mr. A K Choudhary, Dean Brig. H S Dhanny, Professor J S Jassi, faculty members, staff and hundreds of students were present during the event.
