Mumbai: India’s third largest heavy commercial vehicle manufacturer, AMW Motors Ltd. (AMW) announced the appointment of PAL Sales & Service as its dealer for Jalandhar, Amritsar, Kapurthala and TaranTaran. The new facility will provide customers a full range of services including vehicle sales, financing assistance, maintenance and repair, spare parts support and 24X7 assistance through AMW’s call centre. The facility was inaugurated by Mr. R. N. Rao, Director, Marketing, AMW Motors Ltd, Mr. Kamal Sharma, President, BJP Punjab and Mr. Nishant Luthra, MD PAL Sales and Service Jalandhar.

The Company has set up an eight-day workshop in Jalandhar, with the latest equipment and tools, adequate inventory of spare parts and qualified and trained manpower. PAL has already made inroads into this market with a significant market share in the MAV Tipper segment and AMW is confident that it will grow the business with above industry growth rates.

At the inaugural function, Mr. Rao said, “We expect to gain a strong foothold in the haulage vehicles with the commissioning of PAL’s facilities and are confident that transporters in the region will have access to the same high quality customer service that has been the hallmark of our offerings.  PAL’s reach and reputation in the region is a great asset as we enlarge our foot print in India’s agricultural heartland.”

The region is a major producer of agricultural commodities and is expected to be a major market for AMW’s M & HCV haulage vehicles. Discerning operators are moving upwards in terms of performance parameters like fuel efficiency, payload carrying capacity, driveability, gradeability and enhanced features of comfort and safety. AMW vehicles score on all above factors and the dealership will help strengthen its presence across the region, as its products cover applications in a wide range of tonnages.
