New Delhi : The ‘Auto India Best Brand Awards 2011’ was sponsored by Anand, one of India’s leading manufacturers of automotive systems and components. The event took place in Mumbai on 2 February 2011.

Considered as one of the high points in the automotive calendar year, the awards ceremony saw many of the best global and Indian brands in the limelight. The Anand group congratulates all the winners for raising the bar of quality and standards. The Group also recognises that the automotive industry, as a whole, stands to gain from their focus on excellence. The Auto India Best Brand Awards is an outstanding vehicle to honour such efforts.

The event was attended by leading members of the Anand management team, including Mr. D.C Anand, Chairman; Mr H.R. Prasad, Advisor; Mr. Deepak Chopra, Group CEO, and Mr. Sandeep Balooja, Senior Director, Business Development who presented several of the awards to the winners.

The Chief Guest was HH the erstwhile Maharana of Udaipur, Sriji Singhji Mewar, himself an avid car collector.

The winners, in 25 categories, were chosen through the ‘The Best Brand Survey’, which is regarded as the most authoritative index to track the performances of the leading auto brands in India.

Started in 2007, “Auto India Best Brand Awards” is an initiative of the Auto India magazine, one of the publications of the Business India group. Over the years, the survey has created a niche for itself in the Indian auto industry. The winners were judged on various parameters like reliability, quality, technology, stylish looks.
