  • Angelique Foundation Launches Public Library in Laxmi Bai Nagar

    Angelique Foundation, the CSR arm of Angelique International Limited, inaugurated Laxmi Bai Nagar NDMC Public Library with a seating capacity of 100 persons. The library has been redeveloped with new facilities, furniture and books. Angelique Foundation has already completed 18 libraries for the NDMc Primary schools.

     This unique CSR initiative was launched by Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi, Member of Parliament, (Lok Sabha, New Delhi), in the presence of Chairman NDMC, Mr Naresh Kumar and Ms Jaishree Goyal, Head- CSR, Angelique International Limited graced the occasion at NDMC Public Library Laxmi Bai Nagar.

    Redevelopment of the NDMC Public Libraries is a new CSR initiative of Angelique Foundation. It is a gift for the Delhi community, especially for the students. The Reading Room in the library provides space for students to study in a comfortable environment with ample reference books to facilitate the students. The senior citizens now have a space of their own to read magazines and newspapers. Many new books have been added for children.

     On the occasion Meenakshi Lekhi appreciated the efforts and said, Angelique Foundation always comes forward for knowledge sharing. Work hard always pays well. Usage of the library for giving education is very important. Focus on the library is a great work

    In her address, Ms Jaishree Goyal, CSR Head, Angelique Foundation said, “Redevelopment of NDMC Public Libraries is a CSR initiative of Angelique Foundation, with the mission to revive the reading and library culture and to make Public libraries a destination. These libraries have been aesthetically designed, with comfortable new furniture, new books, motivating posters, air-conditioning and all facilities required by the citizens. These libraries offer Reading Rooms for students to come and study. This is the first NDMC Public Library with many more to be completed soon. “

    Angelique Foundation started the initiative by setting up Angelique Pustakalaya-happy functional libraries in schools and furnishes them with books that are relevant to various age-groups, and thus, help in enhancing the literacy levels of these students. Angelique Foundation has now extended the initiative to Public Libraries and creates reading spaces for the Delhi Community. Within the libraries, Angelique is creating ‘Reading Rooms’ for the students to come and study while being surrounded by ample reference books. The libraries are designed for all age groups and have books for all age groups. The all new furniture and interiors are comfortable, pleasing and respect the needs of the Delhi community at large.
