  • Antakshari for Senior Citizens to be held in city on 24th

Antakshari for Senior Citizens is very uncommon.  Bachpan after Pachpan—An Antakshari for Senior Citizens, Second eidition will be held in city at Moksh Banquest at Sanjeevaiah Park Road on Satuday, 24th January, 2015 from 9am onwards informed Manoj, Ramakrishna, Capt Anand of Hydourite Foundation.

    It is organised as part of the Hydourite ongoing festival in association with Lodge Keys No. 297, a primary unit of Freemasonry and Moksh Banquets.

    We would like to make a difference to Senior Citizens this Republic Day by Bachpan After Pachpan–an Antakshari for them.

    The participation is free and there is no entry free. Any one above 55 years can participate. Restricted number of teams allowed on first cum first registered basis.

    “This is unique, fun filled musical extravaganza will be held on January 24th.  The prelimnary rounds will be held from 9 to 12noon and final will be from 1pm to 4pm.  It will be individuals selection for the preliminary rounds and subsequently five teams comprising of four each will be shortlisted and formed into teams for the finals.

    The format is unique and there will be many creative and innovative rounds like kho gaye bool, antra Mukhda, Google round. The whole purpose of the event is to entertain and spend some quality time with our elderly, G. Vidyakar Rao of Lodge Keys No. 297.

    The top three winning teams in finals will get cash prizes of Rs 7500/-(Seven thousand five hundred), 5000/(Five Thousand) and 3000/-(Three Thousands) per team respectively. All the short listed Senior Citizens for the Finals Rounds will be honoured There will be surprise gifts for the audience as well.

    Commenting on the event Kiran Biligiri of Moksh Banquets said “Antakshari happens to be one of the most popular pastimes and is engaged by people of all ages especially in India with its rich and varied music culture and tradition… Music has always been an important part of Indian life!. Antakshari for Senior Citizens is a chance for elders and for us to relive their songs, times and memories… an opportunity that is refreshingly unique”

    First time when it was organised last year we got 200 plus participants.  This year also we will restrict it to maximum of 200 participants, informed Jiten Savaria, who is also associated with the event.

    “Senior Citizens are our pride.  They have given us life, they have built country. Let us pay respects to them”,  informed Manoj of Hydourite Foundation.

    “Antakshari for Senior Citizens is a tribute we pay to our elderly.  It is an indirect blessing.  Let us participate in this unique event” said Capt Anand.  Those Senior Citizens who can sing, even if they are bathroom singers, may participate. They can register by 5pm on 23rd January.  Seating and Participation is on First Come basis only.
