  • Back Govt. has no plans to curtail supply of subsidised cooking gas LPG from 12 cylinders per household in a year:Pradhan

    Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that the government has no plans to curtail Gassupply of subsidised cooking gas LPG from 12 cylinders per household in a year. He said in New Delhi that currently, the modified Direct Benefit Transfer, DBT, Scheme is being launched in 54 districts and from 1st of January next year, it will be rolled out in all the remaining districts of the country.

     

    The Minister said the LPG consumers who have opened accounts under the Jan Dhan Yojana too would benefit from the revised scheme. Mr. Pradhan said the Cabinet had modified the DBT Scheme last week for LPG to provide for cash subsidy equivalent to the difference between the current rate and the market price in bank accounts of each consumer.
