Badrinath shrine to be closed from Nov 18

In Uttrakhand, the portals of holy Badrinath shrine in district Chamoli will be closed for winter for the devotees at 1938 hours on November 18. This was decided in a meeting held at Badrinath today by the Rawal Shri Nambudiripad and Dharmadhikari of Badri-Kedar Mandir Samiti. The decision for closure of the portals is taken on the occasion of Vijayadashmi whereas the date for opening the portals is decided on Basant Panchami every year.
