Bank of Baroda conducted a ‘Leadership Conclave’ on 11th and 12th August 2012 at Mumbai for 100 of its select Senior / Top Management Executives. The objectives of the conclave were to broaden the perspective of participants on key macro-economic and industry trends, to share inputs on developing leadership skills and to provide a knowledge sharing and networking forum.

The conclave design included addresses by eminent industry experts, interactive sessions of the participants in small groups with the Chairman & Managing Director of the Bank Mr. M.D. Mallya and the Executive Directors Mr. R.K. Bakshi, Mr. S.K. Jain and Mr. P. Srinivas, group discussions and presentations on topics of relevance to the Bank, etc.

Mr. Y.M. Deosthalee, CMD, L&T Finance Holdings, Mr. M.V. Nair, former CMD of Union Bank of India and Dena Bank, Dr. Ajit Ranade, Chief Economist, Aditya Birla Group and Mr. Saurabh Tripathi, Partner and Managing Director of the Boston Consulting Group addressed and interacted with the participants on various economic / industry trends. The participants had a good opportunity to learn a lot of leadership lessons from the experience sharing by the speakers.

Mr. M.D. Mallya, CMD, Bank of Baroda stated that the conclave was a flagship initiative undertaken by the Bank to groom its future leaders and added that more such HR initiatives are on the anvil.
