Mumbai – Alumni of Arvind Gandabhir High school- Jogeshwari (East), Mumbai ranging from SSC batch of 1970 to 1998, have established a non-profit organization for various social activities. Being determined to execute different tasks they have named the group as निर्धार– (एक हात आपुलकीचा), which means Nirdhar- An affectionate hand ready to help.

Recently “Nirdhar” organized a blood donation camp in the Arvind Gandabhir High school premises wherein 82 respondents from various places like Nigadi, Pune, Virar, Nalasopara, Ambarnath, and Mumbai were registered for the cause. The camp was inaugurated by Mr. Vishwesh Lele who has a impressive record of 221  blood donations.

 

Overwhelmed with the great response Nirdhar group said, “We are very thankful to the school trustee Mr. Kiran Kamat and other School management team who have supported us whole heartedly for this social activity. We would also like to thank the team of doctors & the staff from Meenatai Thakare Raktpedhi for helping us execute the camp smoothly & successfully.”

 

They added, “This tremendous support from people have boosted our confidence and have made us plan two such donations every year”
