  • Brushes and Beyond: CMR University’s National Art Camp 2023 – A Confluence of Talents from Across India

     Bengaluru – CMR University’s School of Architecture extends a warm welcome to accomplished artists from all corners of India for the “Brushes and Beyond CMR National Art Camp 2023” at the Lakeside Campus. With participation from over 15 esteemed artists representing diverse regions including Odisha, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, etc. This 10-day immersive experience from 30th October to 8th November 2023 promises an exploration of various art forms such as woodcut printing, mixed media, painting, textiles, and more.

    Inaugurating the camp, Shri C.S. Krishna Shetty, the National Award-winning artist and former Chairman of Central Lalithkala Academy, New Delhi, shared his conviction in the power of art to foster unity and bridge societal divides. He underscored the significance of students channeling their innate artistic abilities to express their sentiments and talents.

    The inauguration witnessed the presence of eminent personalities including Dr. KC Ramamurthy (IPS – Retd.), Chairman at CMR Group of Institutions and former Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Shri. K.R. Jayadeep, Pro Chancellor, CMR University, Vice Chancellor Dr. H.B. Raghavendra, and Prof. Muralidhar. K, Director, School of Architecture, alongside other distinguished guests.

    Addressing the students, Dr. K.C. Ramamurthy emphasized the importance of embracing art and cultivating meaningful connections within the campus community. He extended his best wishes to all participants, expressing hope for a rewarding experience at CMR, further enhancing and nurturing their artistic skills.
