  • Children’s creativity scales new heights; holi adds to celebration

Hyderabad : It was both electrifying and mesmerizing. The ambience at Taraporewalla’s Montessori and High School on Road No 12 in Banjara Hills was celebratory and winning accolades were students from the school, who paraded their creative works at a function on Saturday (March 16).

Taraporewalla’s Montessori and High School conducted an art expo that inspired several budding artistes to produce extraordinary works, which captivated students, parents, guardians and all those who made it to the school.

Taraporewallas Montessori House of Children was started in 1953 by the visionary educationist Miss KE Taraporewalla as a primary school for two-and-half years old to six and half-year-old age-group boys and girls.

After Ms Taraporewalla’s demise, her daughter-in-law Ms Kalpana Vishwas took upon herself to continue the legacy, which she has been doing quite admirably. Her dynamism has helped the school to achieve an enviable Montessori Elementary status that caters to the six to 12 years age-group.

Ms Kalpana Vishwas said she was thrilled that as many as 70 paintings that were created by extremely talented students, aged between six and 14 years, were showcased. The exhibits included water color paintings and sketches. Adding to the celebration was the holi festivities, much to the delight of the gathering. The participants came dressed in fancy different attire.

“We foster and encourage stress-free education, which can be richer in a Montessori setup. What began as a Montessori 66 years back is today a preferred High School that follows CBSE Curriculum,’ said Ms Vishwas.

The honoured chief guest Film Director, Tharun Bhascker, was bowled over seeing the creative imagination of the youngsters. ‘Amazing talent! Kudos to the school management for tapping such wonderful talent,” I am scaring about future generations talent and competition, in their age I didn’t even touch the pen, he said.

I never played holi but form this year onwards I will celebrate holi with children, he added.
