  • Corporate Profitability and Transformation Expert Bob Shaw Launches Accunomics Global Management Consultancy

    Bob Shaw, formerly a senior executive at Gemini Consulting, BearingPoint and Deloitte Consulting, announced the launch of Accunomics LLC, a global management consultancy focused on the science of profitability.

    The Accunomics profitability optimization process leverages advanced financial modeling techniques to understand where a business is profitable and where it’s not. The firm’s models and methodologies assist all levels of an organization – from executives through front-line account managers – in maximizing the profitability of their customer relationships and product lines.

    “Accunomics, and our tag line, ‘The Science of Profitability’, describes our business philosophy and our approach to helping our clients,” said Shaw. “Our analytical models provide new, detailed insights into profitability – by customer, by product, by channel and more – insights that help transform a business, and which just aren’t available from traditional financial statements.”

    Shaw ‘s track record of generating transformational profitability improvements through the Accunomics process includes helping clients improve earnings by up to 300%, even in commodities markets. “Our holistic approach to profit optimization combines price optimization, expense rationalization and complexity reduction. Combined, these levers can drive break through results within 12-18 months of the start of our engagement,” adds Shaw.

    Accunomics’ launch comes at a time when large corporations are seeking new ways to grow their earnings in a challenging economic environment.     Joining Shaw as Partners in Accunomics are fellow Gemini and BearingPoint veterans Glenn Babich and Adam Dreiblatt. Dreiblatt will lead the firm’s international efforts, while Babich will be responsible for engagements in North America.

    Accunomics currently has over 40 professionals engaged with clients across five continents. The firm has offices in New York and Singapore. The firm serves the energy, chemical, pharmaceutical and financial service industries, in addition to large retail chains, logistics operators, field service organizations, specialty manufacturers, and commodity trading operations.
