Cotton production in Gujarat is likely to reduce by 20 lakh bales due to delayed monsoon this year.
This was disclosed by the President of Saurashtra Ginners Association, Bharatbhai Vala at Rajkot on Friday.
He said that Cotton production in the state is expected to be 70 to 80 lakh bales as compared to 120 lakh bales last year.
Addressing the fifth Annual General meeting of the Saurashtra Ginners Association, he however said that cotton production in Gujarat is expected to be less but the same is likely to increase in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.
