“At Cyient, talent is our biggest competitive advantage and we are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our associates, their families, and the community at large in these difficult times. We have instituted multiple associate wellness programs and initiatives to ensure that our associates and their loved ones are cared for physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially. We have partnered with a pioneer in professional wellbeing services to introduce a program to help and guide associates and their families with any concern affecting their mental health. Through this initiative, individuals can access professional counseling, a library of wellness resources and tools, and a 24×7 toll-free helpline. Our emergency task force is working 24×7 offering immediate attention for critical cases – teleconsulting services for associates in need of medical help, salary advances, facilitating the supply of oxygen cylinders, access to ventilators, and hospitalization. We have also launched a wellness app to get real-time status on our associates’ health and enable local support.

We understand that our country’s medical infrastructure and resources are overwhelmed with rising cases on a daily basis. Extending support to the community, the Cyient Foundation will train over 1,000 bedside care attendants who can provide relief to patients that need help but cannot leave their homes. We have already trained over 100 bedside care attendants and mapped them to hospitals for non-COVID-19 care centers. We are in this together and are committed to doing everything possible to ensure our people and the country navigates this crisis to emerge stronger and more resilient.” – Krishna Bodanapu, MD & CEO, Cyient.

Some of the initiatives undertaken are:

    ·         Food Distribution Drives: Over the next four weeks, the Cyient Foundation will serve fresh, healthy, and hygienically cooked meals to Covid-19 patients and the elderly. So far, over 6,000 cooked meals have been served.

    ·         Information Support on COVID-19 Resources: With the help of volunteers, we are helping validate crucial information to provide accurate and timely data when a life is at stake.

    ·         Manufacturing and Distribution of Essential Gear: Government hospitals in India are especially overwhelmed at the moment due to COVID-19. The Cyient Foundation is, therefore, manufacturing and distributing masks and PPE suits to frontline health workers and staff at these hospitals, and to other care centers, isolation centers, and within the community. We have distributed over 6,400 masks and 340 PPE suits so far.

    ·         Setting up Makeshift Hospitals: The Cyient Foundation has partnered with hospitals in Bengaluru to help fight COVID -19. We will provide funds to support the procurement of oxygen, provide additional beds to serve poor patients, and procure ventilators.

    ·         We also plan to set up plasma donation drives where our associates and other volunteers who have recovered from COVID-19 can donate plasma to help patients currently fighting the infection. For those who are Covid-19 positive but do not have a space to quarantine, we are looking to convert parts of our office into isolation centers.
