All the festivals celebrated have some profound meaning and have some pragmatic purpose also. Festivals are occasions when people meet each other along with their families and thus improve their social life.

It is indeed a matter of pride that Shridhar University Pilani within a short span of time has attracted students not only from Rajasthan but also from various states of India which include Assam, Tripura, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Orissa, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra and Uttarakhand.

With students from various parts of the country, the celebration of any festival at Shridhar University indeed represents unfolding of the Indian cultural mosaic echoing Gurudev Tagore’s lines in National Anthem – Punjaba Sindhu Gujarata Maratha Dravida Utkala Banga.

Whatever be the latitude or longitude from where one comes from; the festival of lights Deepawali means one and the same. The main buildings of the University were illuminated with an assortment of lights and the entire campus of Way to Transform Shridhar University on Diwali night was glowing like a jewel in the Shekhawati crown of the desert state of Rajasthan.

The students brought out their creative expression of art with a colourful Rangoli of Lord Ganesh at the entrance to the administrative block of the university. In the lush green lawns facing the main building, a music and dance program was organized in which students and faculty with family participated with great enthusiasm. The fireworks display was spell binding which was followed by a grand dinner in the university mess.

Celebrations of this kind undoubtedly promote culture which is not only the widening of the mind but also of the spirit apart from unity and tolerance in society.
