  • Delhi Technological University (formerly DCE) ranked among Top Ten Engineering Institutions of the Country

    New Delhi:  In a recent survey on Best Engineering Institutions, Delhi Technological University (formerly Delhi College of Engineering) has been ranked among the top ten engineering institutions of the country. DTU has been placed 8th in the Top 10 Government Colleges after six Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) at Kharagpur, Delhi, Mumbai, Kanpur, Chennai and Roorkee and IT – BHU.

    DTU has been placed 3rd for “Top 10 Engineering Colleges in Placement” and 7th for “Top 10 Engineering Colleges in Selection Process”. It has also earned 5th Rank for “Top 10 Engineering Colleges In Personality Development & Industry Interface”. DTU has also earned 7th rank for “Top 10 Engineering Colleges In Infrastructure & Facilities”.

    Commissioned by Outlook, the survey was undertaken to evaluate the status of engineering colleges in India. It was based on the inputs from leading academicians, faculty members and alumni, and the current as well as prospective students of the colleges concerned. The parameters of the survey were chosen after a lot of research and planning. The history and reputation, admission process, course curriculum, learning environment, faculty competence, infrastructure, foreign exchange programmes, research facilities, laboratories and workshops, hostel facilities, placements, and new innovative courses of the colleges, were among the considerations for ranking the best institutions in engineering in India.
