  • Dell becomes technology partner to Gujarat’s eKranti project launch

    Ahmedabad: Dell, the world’s fastest-growing large integrated IT company, today announced its support as the technology partner Dellfor the eKranti initiative launched in Gujarat. The project was recently launched by the Gujarat State Co-operative Credit Societies Federation Ltd., in an effort to facilitate the delivery of all government services electronically to citizens. In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Gujarat State Co-operative Credit Societies Federation Ltd. and Dell’s channel partner – Earth Syscom and Project Central Partner – Jintech Solutions Limited for the implementation of the project.

    eKranti is an initiative under the ambit of the government’s defining ‘Digital India’ plan. Launched in Gujarat, the project helps in making computers available to citizens through societies registered with the Federation, via a loan at 0% interest and 12 monthly installments. As the technology partner, Dell will play a crucial role in supplying the technology infrastructure comprising state-of-the-art Dell Vostro laptops and desktops, and Dell OptiPlex all-in-ones pre-installed with Microsoft OS, Microsoft office and anti-virus.

It’s the biggest step towards the vision of government – “Digital India”. This will increase the efficiency of citizen services and improve productivity of the local community, at the district and taluka level.”

Dell has been engaging with the government in India for the last six years and successfully executed projects such as CCTNS, E-Distt, Sarv Siksha Abhiyan, IGRS, etc. across various geographies. Dell has also been associated with the National Nodal Agencies like DGS&D, NIC / NISCI and with various State Nodal Agencies such as APTS, HARTRON, WEBEL, BELTRON, etc.
