Mumbai: Vivacious Designer label Farah Sanjana showcased for Lakme Fashion week Summer/Resort 2014 with her super stylish resort collection, titled The Flamboyance of Flamingos.

The muse for Farah’s new collection was the flamingos of France. With their pink and crimson plumage, long legs and necks and strongly hooked beaks, these unique birds have long fascinated the designer. Drawing inspiration from these spirited birds of summer, Farah kept her collection chic and elegant, allowing the garments to easily transition from sunrise to sunset.

Using fabrics like georgette, silk crepe, net and elastane, Farah designed garments that boasted of bright summer hues, lots of sheers that can be layered and easy silhouettes that are perfect for hot days lounging by the seaside.

The colour palette ranged from light orange and sky blue to hot pink and bright orange. Using studs, eyelets and thin chains as harnesses for embellishment, Farah  teamed the garments with metal accessories and leather belts to complete the look.
