    A three-day workshop on ‘Typeface Design’ organised by the Royal school of Design commenced on Wednesday. Dr. Udaya Kumar, lecturer, and Professor of IIT-G (department of design) best known for his design of the Indian Rupee conducted the workshop. The workshop will give design enthusiast an enriching experience from theory to practical application, exploring the intricacies of creating impactful and memorable typefaces.

    On the other hand, Royal School of Communication and Media organised a special lecture on the topic ‘Role of Media in Child Protection’ on Wednesday. Leading Child Rights Activist and Founder of Utsah Miguel Das Queah delved on the pivotal role of media in safeguarding the rights and well-being of children. He also emphasized on how by raising awareness, amplifying voices, fostering dialogue, and holding stakeholders accountable, the media plays a vital role in creating a safer and more supportive environment for children to grow, learn, and thrive. Prof. (Dr.) S P Singh, Vice Chancellor, Royal Global University, Florence Handique Rabha, Head of the Department, Royal School of Communication and Media, Prof Suresh Nayak, senior faculty members and students were present on the occasion.

    Further, third day of the Cultural Week that commenced on Monday was a tribute to the country’s cultural mosaic as each dance was a celebration of our folk heritage and tradition. The stage came alive with the magic of storytelling and the power of performances through engaging one-act plays.
