  • element14 adds revolutionary COOLMOS power MOSFETs from Infineon for electronics design in Asia-Pacific

    Published on August 4, 2014

element14 has expanded its high-voltage portfolio of MOSFETs with the addition of Marc Grange, Head of Product and Asset Management, element14 (Asia-Pacific)the C7 and P6 series of CoolMOS™ Power MOSFETs from Infineon, a world leader in semiconductors and system solutions. These power mosfets significantly reduce switching and conduction losses and enable higher power density and efficiency. Many are optimised for hard switching topologies, and is suited for applications in solar, server, telecom and UPS(uninterruptible power supply).

Jan-Willem Reynaerts, Product Segment Head of High Voltage Power Conversion at Infineon Technologies said, “Pioneered by Infineon, CoolMOS™ is a revolutionary technology for high-voltage power MOSFETs designed according to the superjunction principle. It enables an unprecedented combination of improved power density as well as efficiency needed for designing next-generation power conversion systems. Customers can easily access a comprehensive range of Infineon solutions at element14, together with local customer service and technical support.”

The C7 series, suited for applications in Computing, Server, Telecom, UPS and Solar, feature :

    ·         improved safety margin; suitable for both SMPS and solar inverter applications

    ·         lowest conduction losses/package

    ·         low switching losses

    ·         improved light load efficiency

    ·         space saving through the use of smaller packages or reduction of parts

The P6 Series, suited for applications in PC Silverbox, Adapter, TV, Lighting, Server, Telecom and UPS, feature :

    ·         optimized integrated Rg

    ·         improved dv/dt

    ·         outstanding performance levels in hard and soft-switching topologies

    ·         low conduction and switching losses
