St. Louis, Mo., : Epworth Children & Family Services will hold its third annual Horses & Hats Derby Party on Sat., May 2 from 3 to 7 p.m. The fundraiser will be held at Legends Country Club located at 625 The Legends Pkwy. in Eureka, Mo. Proceeds will benefit the nonprofit’s programs and services.
The watch party includes a live viewing of the Kentucky Derby, a raffle and silent auction, and a contest for the best hat and bowtie. Guests will enjoy a wide array of derby-themed appetizers, as well as an open bar featuring bourbon tastings, bourbon pulls and mint juleps.
Founded in 1864, Epworth Children & Family Services is a multiservice agency that helps at-risk and in-need children, youth, and families move toward self-sufficiency by focusing on health, housing, education, and employment. Epworth provides foster care case management, residential and intensive treatment, psychological evaluation, in-home family therapy, emergency shelter services, transitional and independent living, homeless youth outreach, drop-in center and clinical services, life skills and vocational training, and a 24-hour crisis help-line. Epworth is headquartered at 110 N. Elm Ave. in Webster Groves and has offices in Normandy, University City, and South St. Louis City.
