  • ESDM industry giants flock to Bengaluru as IESA inaugurates its 17th Vision Summit & India Embedded Electronics Show

    • The flagship event is slated for 12th and 13th October
    • The two-day summit will bring the Indian and global semiconductor and electronics companies together on a common platform

    Bangalore : India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), India’s leading industry association for ESDM (Electronics System Design and Manufacturing) sector, unveiled the 17th Edition of its marquee event, Vision Summit & India Embedded Electronics Show. A two-day event, the summit is scheduled for 12th and 13th October 2022, at the Lalit Ashok, Bengaluru with the theme “Roadmap for making India the Electronics & Semiconductor Nation in this decade”.

    The current edition of the event marks its return to in-person mode, after having been conducted virtually over course of the last two years, owing to the pandemic. The annual event will feature a power-packed line-up of 80-plus speakers to include 50 global leaders, experts, strategists, and policymakers, bringing them together on a single platform.  The emphasis will be to discuss the future of the electronics and semiconductor industry.

    The IESA Vision Summit 2022 was inaugurated by Shri Rajeev Chandrashekar, MoS for Electronics, IT & Skill Development. The inaugural session consisted of keynote speakers to include Dr. Anirudh Devagan CEO of Cadence Design Systems Inc, USA, Mr. Lars Regar, EVP & CTO of NXP Netherlands, Mr, John Neuffer, President SIA USA and Shri Arvind Kumar, Director General STPI.

    Over the course of two days, the summit will comprise of a host of discussions to include multiple stakeholders, policymakers, and industry leaders on various subjects including emerging geo-political situations, sustainable business continuity in ESDM, next-generation automotive electronics, semiconductor supply chain coopetition, emerging ESDM clusters in India, growth of IT Infrastructure in India, next-generation semiconductor design technologies, India’s role in electronics manufacturing technologies, and electronics and semiconductor skill development in India, amongst others. The event will also seek participation from more than 100 exhibitors showcasing global and domestic brands, startups, and MSMEs in the ESDM sector to include startups being incubated by STPI and MeitY Startup hub.

    K Krishna Moorthy, CEO & President IESA said on the occasion, “The ESDM industry in India is growing an unprecedented pace, fuelled by strong policy support, huge investments by public and private stakeholders, and a spike in demand for electronic products. The sector is expected to reach a valuation of US $220 billion by 2025, and $300Bn by 2030, which is why we at IESA believe that this decade is growing to prove crucial for India’s standing in the global ESDM scenario. By attracting participation form top policymakers and thought leaders every year, the event has attained an unmatched status, something which we intend to uphold in the years to come.

     With this edition of the Vision Summit, we welcome all the key players in the industry – this time in person – to join us on India’s journey towards emerging as a global ESDM leader. A big exhibition and demo, where our members and partners and eco system players showing various innovations and developed hardware, will be showcased by more than 100 exhibitors.”

    Notable speakers consisting of Indian and international industry leaders include Sanjay Gupta, NXP, Dr Prabhu Raja, SVP, Semiconductor Product Group, Applied Materials Inc, Mr. Khurram Ismail, Western Digital, Satish Danasekaran, Keysight, Ravi Subramanian, Synopsys, Dr. Anirudh Devgan, Cadence, Lars Regar, NXP, John Neuffer, SIA , Mr. Rangesh Raghavan, Lam research, Dominic David, KLA, Sandeep Tandon, Syrma SGS, Ruchir Dixit, Siemens EDA, Bhartendu Mishra, Arrow Electronics, Shitendra Bhattacharya, NI, and others who will share their perspectives on India’s growth in the ESDM space.     Eminent speakers who have been invited to Vision Summit 2022 include Government of India speakers Sh. CN Ashwatnarayan, Minister for IT/ BT, Government of Karnataka, Sh.     The IESA Vision Summit 2022 will provide time and space for startups and companies to announce new products and services, reposition their brands and communicate new strategies to stakeholders and customers at IESA Vision Summit 2022.
