  • ETO Motors joins hands with Amazon and BigBasket for last-mile delivery through Electric Vehicles in Hyderabad

    Hyderabad: ETO, India’s leading electric vehicle manufacturer, today announced that it has joined hands with leading e-commerce players Amazon and BigBasket to lend support to their last mile delivery ecosystem. This tie-up entails the integration of their electric two-wheelers with Amazon and BigBasket.

    Shri Durga Shankar Mishra (IAS), Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India in the august presence of Shri Arvind Kumar IAS – Principal Secretary, Municipal Administration & Urban Development, Government of Telangana, flagged of a fleet of ETO electric vehicles for the purpose.

    Announcing the partnership, Mr. NK Rawal, Managing Director, ETO Motors shared, “With the delivery ecosystem growing in leaps and bounds, conventional modes will have a definite impact on the environment. Electrifying the last mile is the only viable option. ETO is always committed to bring sustainable mobility solutions both in passenger and cargo segments for a greater cause to see India as pollution free nation”.

    Telangana is one of the pioneer states in India to have launched state EV Policy to provide stimulus to the penetration of electric vehicles and related infrastructure in the state.

    The Government of Telangana has been very bullish in terms of adopting electric mobility solutions in the city and makes the city greener and healthier thus encouraging many such initiatives.

    The Government of India is leaving no stone unturned to promote electric vehicle deployment. The Central Government has also announced an outlay of ₹10,000 crores for phase II of the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (FAME 2) scheme to increase the number of electric vehicles in the commercial fleet.”
