Bangalore: Ezysolare, an Ahmedabad based online solar products and services marketplace has announced the launch of its listing services on their website. SolarConnect provides the rooftop owners with a platform to post their requirements and connect with verified solar installers. Ezysolare helps customers across India to reach out to Solar Installers, Equipment Suppliers and more – all under one roof. The start-up is backed by Infuse Ventures, India’s only sustainability and clean tech fund.

Founded in 2015 by IIT Roorkee graduate Puneet Singh Jaggi and his brother Anmol Singh Jaggi, ezysolare.com provides an online platform for engineering and procurement of equipment used to build solar power projects, thus connecting solar installers with manufacturers of solar equipment. The start-up concentrates on rooftop solar market to begin with. Through SolarConnect, the start-up intends to be the neutral platform of choice for both customers looking to get solar installed and for installers looking for more support on engineering and procurement, by providing efficiency, credibility and transparency. As the Indian government works towards reaching its target of 100 GW of solar power – with 40 GW on rooftops – by 2022, Ezysolare expects to be the leader in the online solar space from small residential system of 1 – 10 kW to larger commercial and industrial building solar plants of upto 1 MW by bringing transparency in this otherwise fragmented and unorganized sector.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Puneet Singh- Director, Ezysolare said “People in India are genuinely interested to switch to solar for their homes, buildings and industries to bring down their electricity bills. But, lack of information often leads to inertia. When a roof owner can get unbiased opinion of solar cost, generation and capacity coupled with verified contact details and experience of different installers, it would lead to confident decision making for roof owners and faster closures for solar Installers. Ezysolare intimates interested roof owners every time their contact detail is accessed by solar installer. The algorithm also weeds out inactive roof owners making sure that Solar Installers get value from the website. We alredy carry out free of cost solar capacity and generation analysis for roof owners and share the verified and accurate details with solar installers and we shall soon start site visits by trained solar engineers to make the entire experience of going solar frictionless.”

The website receives close to 50 solar enquiries every day and has sold in excess of 5 crores of Solar Products since its launch last year. Ezysolare is a team of 16 people and raised its seed round from Infuse Ventures backed by CIIE, IIM Ahmedabad last year.
