Chikmangaluru: Fino Payments Bank set up a micro ATM facility in the premises of the police training centre in Chikmangaluru district’s Kadurtaluk for the benefit of trainee policemen and training staff.

Upon the request of the police department, Shubhodaya filling station, a BPCL outlet in Kadur that doubles up as a Fino banking point, arranged the facility. The purpose was to help the inmates of the training centre withdraw cash as COVID19 restricted their movement.

The one day activity on 1 July, 2020 benefited over 120 trainee policemen and training staff who withdrew more than Rs 8 lakhs using either ATM card or Aadhaar number. The inmates appreciated the services and thanked the team. Throughout the activity, COVID precautions were taken – social distancing was followed, masks and sanitizer were used.
