In major breakthrough in Nun gangrape case, two suspects were arrested on Thursday, one from Mumbai and another from North 24 Parganas in West Bengal.

The first arrest was made from Mumbai, who was later flown to West Bengal for further investigation.

The West Bengal Police had earlier detained 17 persons in connection with the case.

The 71 year old Nun was allegedly gangraped on 14th March.

The images of the suspects were captured by the CCTVs installed in the school where the nun was working.

Last week, a team of National Commission for Women (NCW) had visited the school.

The state government had initially ordered a CID probe but decided to hand over the case to CBI.

The CBI is yet to formally take charge of the case.
