  • Global Epic on Karma Yoga to be Released on Michael Jackson’s 53rd Birthday Anniversary

Toronto, Ontario : David’s one year old niece battled Retinoblastoma – a cancerous tumor of the eye. Lauren’s mother had a stroke around the same time her father was diagnosed with cancer. Lathie’s family escaped a war zone and harsh refugee camps. Denney’s family wrestled with the aftershocks of crime.

They all used Karma Yoga to overcome their adversity.

In order to mark what would have been the 53rd birthday of Michael Jackson on the 29th of August, an international epic will be released highlighting the role Karma Yoga played in his life and music.  To quote the presenter Canadian self-help expert  Zen Acharya, who hails from an unbroken line of sages that built dozens of temples near the Buddha’s home in Magadha in the 12th century and is the founder of the Zenji Museum, “The world not only misses Michael’s incredible music, but also his inspiring message.  From ‘Earth Song’ and ‘Black or White’ to ‘Heal The World’ and ‘Man in the Mirror’, many of his songs serve as anthems for the spirit of Karma Yoga.”

The epic ‘Karma Yoga: The New Revolution’ also references some of Michael’s favorite role-models including Mahatma Gandhi, Albert Einstein, Mark Twain, Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa and Nelson Mandela and appeals to both the old and young generations — by combining the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita, Vedas, Upanishads, Lord Buddha and Swami Vivekananda with contemporary situations the youth can relate to including the comeback of Tiger Woods.

As Michael Jackson’s music transcended barriers of race, nationality and religion, ‘Karma Yoga: The New Revolution’ has been filmed all over the world — from the Louvre Museum and Notredame Cathedral of Paris to the Asakusa Temple of Tokyo; from the Buckingham Palace in London to the high streets of Zurich and Hong Kong; from Hero’s Square in Budapest to the Indian beaches where the heroic Mahatma Gandhi dreamed of changing the world.

International scholar Chipamong Chowdhury elaborates, “Karma and Yoga are among the biggest buzzwords in pop culture today and Karma Yoga is simply the yoga of perfecting one’s Karma. By uniquely combining Eastern philosophies with Western Motivational Speaking, Zen has made the definitive film on Karma Yoga that can change people’s lives and help them deal with all of life’s challenges during these difficult economic times”.

Furthermore, Zen intends to use a part of the profits from the release to honor the Spirit of Japan – one of Michael Jackson’s favorite countries.  As Zenji points out, “Michael would have wanted to organize a special tribute to inspire the people of Japan as they recover from one of the worst tragedies in recent history. For this reason we will be organizing a landmark yoga exhibition for Japan which will feature rare masterworks by her greatest artists — from the likes of Hokusai, Hiroshige, Sesshu and the Kano School to history’s greatest zenmasters like Hakuin, Ikkyu and Takuan Soho among others. The Exhibition will also feature rare artwork from the Gandhara, Gupta, Pala, Chola, Hoysala and Vijayanagar empires of India as well as the Qing, Ming, Song and Tang dynasties of China. Centrepieces will include one of the world’s longest and oldest 24 Karat gold thangkas from Tibet.

Having worked with Mother Teresa as a child, Zen is also producing another film at the Wailing Wall and Church of the Resurrection in Jerusalem. As he states, “the entire world mourned the loss of pop music’s most influential luminary and the best way one can honor his legacy is to truly embrace the Sanskrit motto ‘Vasudaiva Kutumbakaum’ or ‘We Are  the World.”

The film Karma Yoga: The New Revolution will be released on the 29th of August via HD digital downloads, DVDs and MP3s from the official website www.RightKarma.net
