New Delhi: Leading B2C, OTA, Goibibo.com has released a sleuth of personalization tools on its Android and iOs apps. These are all “mobile first developments”. Personalization tools comprise: Mobile Sync, FastPay, Traveler’s check list, weather and more. This a clearly the first by an OTA in India.

According to Ashish Kashyap, Founder and CEO of ibibo Group :  “At goibibo we are developing with a mobile first philosophy. We are leveraging the true power on mobile, i.e. Personalization & location context”.

The company has elaborated on the details of the personalization tools

TRAVELER’S PERSONAL CHECK LIST:

1.        Checklist

Travel checklist on the iOS and Android Apps enable travelers to create their travel plans with ease. The traveler can create checklists such as what they need to carry along with them. The app then sends notifications reminding them to carry their necessities”.

2.        Fare Alerts

Goibibo Fare Alerts enables users to keep track of airfare fluctuations by sending periodic push notifications, and thereby helping users in saving big by making better decisions on the best time to book.

Users can be alerted of changes in fares while searching for any sector for a specific date. By tapping on ‘Register fare alerts’, the user will  start receiving notification alerts whenever there is a change in the fare for that particular date and sector.

3.        GoFastpay

goFastPay from Goibibo enables the travelers to save their cards and net-banking info in a secure way to checkout with a single click.

Users can save their preferred mode of payment (credit/debit cards, net-banking) on their mobile app and use the same while making any booking on the app. The app features saving multiple payment modes so that the user has the choice during checkout.

Once enabled, goFastpay also lets the user edit or delete the cards anytime.

User can also enable goFastpay by saving a credit or debit card or net banking while making the payment for a booking. All it takes is one tap on the checkbox to save the card for future use.

4.        Hotel Shortlist

Looking at many hotels! After a while you can barely remember which one had the fancy pool with the bar, and which one had three multi cuisine restaurants. Well, things have just got a lot easier with our Shortlist feature.

 

While searching for hotels, users can shortlist their favourite/preferred hotels on search results page. The shortlisted hotels can be identified by the heart symbol on the hotel. All shortlisted hotels can be accessed with a single tap and also comparable on a dynamic and interactive map.

5.        Mobile Sync

Mobile sync lets consumers bring all their goibibo bookings from the desktop onto their mobile. 60% of our users who have downloaded this app have synced

6.        Weather Forecast

No more unexpected showers.  Be always prepared with weather info at your destination.

We want to help our users be better prepared for a city’s weather when they arrive. E-tickets in our mobile app also display the destination’s weather conditions so that our users can plan their travel in a better way.
