The government is making all efforts to ensure security of pilgrims of the annual Amarnath Yatra beginning on 28th of this month. Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde said in New Delhi today that there are reports that terrorists intend to distrupt the two month long holy pilgrimage. He said government as a precautionary meausre is sending additional forces to ensure safety and security of all pilgrims.

Earlier the Jammu and Kashmir government had declared the entire yatra route as highly prone to terror strike.
