  • Govt with full majority needed for making New India: PM

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that a full majority and strong government is needed for making a New India.

    Mr Modi was addressing a public meeting at Audhe Village (औढे) in Rohania area of Varanasi on Tuesday afternoon.

    The Prime Minister said, a large number of electricity, rail and road projects have been completed and others are underway.

    Giving the example of ‘Vande Bharat’, Mr Modi said, the government has taken several steps during the last four and a half years to change the face of Indian Railways.

    Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 47 development projects worth more than three thousand 350 crore rupees during his visit to Varanasi.

    Earlier, taking part in a programme on the occasion of Sant Guru  Ravidas Jayanti, Mr Modi urged people to end caste discrimination and identify those who promote it for self-interest. He laid the foundation stone of Sant Guru Ravidas Birth place development projects and paid homage to Guru Ravidas.

    The Prime Minister also flagged off an indigenously developed diesel to the electric converted locomotive engine of ten thousand Horse Power at Diesel Locomotive Works.

    Mr Modi dedicated two hospitals, newly constructed Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya cancer hospital at BHU and Bhabha cancer hospital, Lahartara worth 1140 crore rupees. These hospitals will benefit patients in Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttarakhand and even neighbouring countries like Nepal.

    The Prime Minister said, the entire country will be forever indebted to the families of security personnel who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
