  • Grand Ceremony Marks Music Launch of Taptpadee

    The music audio of upcoming Marathi film Taptpadee was launched at a grand ceremony, organised at The Leela hotel recently. 14Live dance performances by lead actor’s and recitation of poems by lyricist left the guests completely mesmerized and gave them a glimpse of the changing and new face of Marathi cinema. The glittering event witnessed the music launched at the hands of producer-director Sachin Baliram Nagargoje’s parents.

    Kashyap Parulekar, Veena Jamkar and Shruti Marathe, the lead actors of Taptpadee, added colors to the musical function by giving energetic dance performances on the film’s two songs “Ashi Ye Najeek…” and “Hul Deun Gelaa Paaus…”. The songs were choreographed by Dance India Dance-fame Joe.

    The songs in the voices of Saavni Shende and Swapnil Bandolkar doubled the treat for invitees while poetry recitation by lyricist Vaibhav Joshi impressed them beyond expectations.

    The film’s music audio has six tracks, including “Ashi Ye Najeek…”, “Hi Gard Amavas Naahi…”, “Hul Deun Gelaa Paaus…”, and “Kuthvar Tu Sobat, Mee Phunkar…”. The melodious songs, penned by Vaibhav Joshi, have been composed by music director duo Sumit Bellari and Rohit Nagbhide, and recorded in the voices of Swapnil Bandolkar and Saavni Shende.

    An adaptation of Guru Rabindranath Tagore’s story titled Drushtidaan, Marathi film Taptpadee has been produced jointly by Sachin Baliram Nagargoje and Hemant Bhailal Bhavsar. Sachin Nagargoje has also written screenplay and directed the film while Madhugandha Kulkarni has assisted him in writing dialogues.

    Though Taptpadee’s story is of ancient times, writer-director Sachin Baliram Nagargoje has made suitable changes to it keeping in lines with today’s society and lifestyle; and its acceptance among today’s audience can be gauged well from the record number of hits it received on social networking sites. To achieve this, the director has reportedly done extensive research on Maharashtra’s culture, social rituals and emergence of new thoughts and customs in the pre-independence period.

    Besides Kashyap Parulekar, Veena Jamkar and Shruti Marathe in the lead roles, Taptpadee also stars Neena Kulkarni, Sharad Ponkshe, Ashvini Ekbote and Ambarish Deshpande. The technical crew includes cinematography by Santosh Swarankar, production design by Devdas Bhandare, costumes design by Rahim Sheikh and Dhanashri Tivrekar, make-up by Amit Mhatre, Avdhoot Raut and Bharati Mane, and marketing by Rahul Chate.
