On this sacred occasion of Krishna Janmasthmi 2013, BhajanSamrat Padmashree Anup Jalota and the his shishya, the young & talented Sumeet Tappoo, have come together to sing in praise of Lord Krishna.

The album, entitled “Hare Krishna”, is the fourth collaboration of the “Guru-Shishya” duo. However, this album is special in that the shishya has assumed the role of a Music Director and has composed all the Bhajans in the album.

Apart from three solos each from both the singers, the album is unique as it features three duets, creating a beautiful vibration which takes the devotee into higher realms of bliss.

Although he has released many albums in the recent past, the King of Bhajans Anup Jalota, was excited about this release. “I am very excited about “Hare Krishna”. It is a beautiful album composed by most most dear shishya Sumeet and I am really happy that is it being released by Saregama as their main release for Janmasthmi this year. Sumeet has worked very hard and hasplanned this album very well and we have both ensured that the album gives a lot of peace and joy to the lovers of BhagavanKrishna.” said Jalota.

Sumeet was equally thrilled about “Hare Krishna”. “This is my first devotional release since 2010 and I feel blessed that my Guru has accepted my compositions and sung alongside me in the album. It is a blessings from Bhagavan Krishna that it is being released on such a sacred occasion at the Holy ISKCON temple in Juhu and that too by India’s most prestigious music house HMV Saregama”.
