The theme for this year is, “Game Changers: The companies, people and ideas that are transforming the world of communications.” Backed by more than 25 leading global PR firms, the Summit is being held on October 27-30 2014 at St. Regis Bal Harbour Hotel in Miami.

One of the key challenges facing the PR industry today is to attract, retain and motivate great talent. During the half-day Independent Public Relations Firm Forum that will kick off the Global PR Summit on October 27, Harjiv has been invited to speak on the all-important theme of “Recruiting and Integrating Talent.” Moderated by Michael Murphy, Senior Partner at Michael Murphy & Ltd. and former Global CEO of Grayling, the session brings together independent agency leaders with first-hand experience of blending contrasting agency cultures into a coherent whole, and also features Mohamed Al Ayed, CEO, TRACCS; Nathalie Bernard, Managing Director of Hopscotch and Chris Lewis, CEO and Founder of Lewis PR.

The panel will focus on issues such as coping with the changing talent needs, embracing digital skills and its impact on company structures and business models to integrate new talent with the older traditional professionals, overcoming huge skills shortages, managing diversity, and what makes independent agencies more attractive places to work.

The Global PR Summit 2014 will also feature the world’s largest and most sought after public relations awards competition, the SABRE Awards, which recognizes Superior Achievement in Branding and Reputation in North America, EMEA and the Asia-Pacific region, as well as The Influence 100, which identifies, researches and profiles the 100 most powerful in-house communicators in the world.
