  • Habitat for Humanity India Golf Tournament in January 2021

    Professional golfers and corporate head honchos to take part; event to raise funds to setup Habitat Covid Care Centres across Maharashtra and building houses for martyrs families.  Upholding a strong commitment to empower the weaker sections of the society achieve strength, stability and self-reliance, Habitat for Humanity India will be hosting the third edition of its annual Charity Golf Tournament on 10th January 2021 at the Willingdon Sports Club in Mumbai. The past edition of the tournament has supported 100 families in Karjat (Raigad district, Maharashtra) with the provision of water wheels and four families of martyrs are building homes in Kolhapur district. Proceeds from this year’s charity Golf tournament will help Habitat build COVID-19 Care Centres in Maharashtra.

    “Millions of low-income families suffered due to COVID-19. As responsible citizens, it is our duty to protect them. I have been a part of Habitat India’s Charity Golf tournament since its inception and have witnessed the impact of their work. I hope that there will be a day where every single person in India has a roof over their head”, said Ajit Agarkar, former Indian cricketer and an avid golfer who has participated in the past two tournaments hosted by Habitat for Humanity India.
