  • Havells Q3FY12Consolidated Net Revenue up by 16% to Rs.1660 crore

    Havells India Limited, oneof the largest & India’s fastest growing electrical and power distributionequipment manufacturer today announced its financial results for the thirdquarter (Q3FY12) and nine month ended December 31, 2011.

    Consolidated Performance (Q3 FY12 VS Q3 FY11)

    Net Revenue grew by 16% to Rs.1660 crores duringthe third quarter ended December 31, 2011 compared to Rs. 1426 crore in thecorresponding quarter ended December 31, 2010.

    EBIDTA grew by 38% to Rs.176 crore as againstRs.127 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year ended December 31,2010.

    Net Profit grew by 41% to Rs. 89 crore for theperiod ended December 31, 2011 compared to Rs. 63 crore in the correspondingquarter previous year.

    Standalone Performance (Q3 FY12 VS Q3 FY11)

    Net Revenue grew by 26% to Rs.896 crore duringthe third quarter ended December 31, 2011 compared to Rs.713 crore in thecorresponding quarter ended December 31, 2010.

    EBIDTA grew by 38% to Rs. 125 crore as againstRs. 90 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year ended December 31,2010.

    Net Profit grew by 21% to Rs. 79 crore for theperiod ended December 31, 2011 compared to Rs. 65 crore in the correspondingquarter previous year.

    Sylvania Global (Q3 FY12 VS Q3 FY11)

    Posted a 30% rise in EBIDTA at € 7.8 millioncompared to € 6 million in the corresponding quarter ended December 31, 2010.

    Revenues were stagnant at € 114 million duringthe quarter ended December 31, 2011 compared to € 119 million to thecorresponding quarter ended December 31, 2010.

    Profit after tax surged to € 1.9 million ascompared to a loss of € 0.3 million in the corresponding quarter previous year.

    Entered into China through a Joint Venture withShanghai Yaming Lighting

    Launched new range ofElectric Water Heaters with enhanced the storage capacity from 1 to 50 liter

    Expands the Havells Galaxy chain by opening 10more stores in Kanpur, Hanumangarh, Secunderabad, Hamirpur, Bidar,Trivendrapuram, Jaipur, Patna, Barbil and Ludhiana taking the total galaxyfigure to 120

    Launched Home Appliances products in AndhraPradesh, Gujarat and Karnataka

    Bagged the National Energy Conservation Awardfor its BEE Star-labeled Ceiling Fans.

    Theperformance of the switchgear sales showed a growth of 15% to Rs.226 crore fromRs.196 crore achieved in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Thecable & wire business segment showed a growth of 29% to Rs.391 crore asagainst Rs. 304 crore. Lighting and fixtures segment registered revenue of Rs.145 crore as against Rs. 113 crore showing a growth of 28%. The Electricalconsumer durables grew 35% with revenue of Rs. 135 crore as against Rs. 100crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

    Commenting the financial performance Anil Gupta, jointmanaging director (JMD), Havells (India) said, “The improved marginsclearly reflect our continued focus on profitability, we would continue toconsolidate upon the present growth trends.”
