Tourism Minister K. Chiranjeevi today launched a web-based public service delivery system for granting approvals for hotel projects and their classification status.

Launching the initiative in New Delhi, Chiranjeevi said with the new move, all information relating to applications will be put on ministry’s website. He said, it will bring in transparency, make officials accountable and enable applicants to check status of their applications.

At present, the applicants remain unaware of the status of their applications till the final decision is conveyed to them. Now, they will be given a password to access details posted on the website www.tourism.gov.in.
