Technology has opened new doors for all. It contributed a great deal to ease our life during the ongoing pandemic. Technology makes it possible for a fresh computer science graduate to freelance, and even earn in Dollars and Euros. Similarly, even a lawyer can also earn and make a good living through technology. Sounds unbelievable but many law students like me are earning well due to Institutes like LawSikho.

I, Faiz Ehsan, was enrolled in the LawSikho Technology Law Course and can safely say, my time at this Institute are the happiest learning years of my career (to date); so, let me tell you how. I am learning things that were new to me but very much in demand in the Global freelancing marketplace and even law firms. These courses are completely different from what is being taught at Law Schools. These courses are based on practical learning. In a nutshell, practical training helps today’s law students become better lawyers tomorrow. It promotes a better understanding of the profession by bridging the gap between the academic realm and the real world. The best part of LawSikho assignments is that the questions are aimed at developing the problem-solving skills of the students. With efforts from my mentors Sanskriti Tiwari Ma’am, Ramanuj Sir, Abhyudaya Sir, Priyanka Karwa Ma’am and all the diligent LawSikho team, I was able to generate a profile on the Global platform and earn 700$ in two months of work. LawSikho gave me the spark I needed. With the growing and coming of new “Marketplace” like Fintech and NFTs, etc. there’s a chance that the young law students and the first generations of law students can become what they always thought of. The LawSikho team is always there to help you if you need it, even at 1 AM at the night.

Arjun Sir, Chinmay Sir, Abhipsa Ma’am, these teachers are very cooperative if anyone needs help regarding the course or in general. The environment, the atmosphere is remote, but I assure you it doesn’t feel like that. They are engaging and always have many things to imbibe. I generated income, and I am ready to pay off my full amount of EMI.

It took me two months to do so.  I can see a mind-boggling change in myself. With the help of LawSikho, now I have realised that there’s more than Civil and Criminal law.

Another feature of LawSikho that I admire most is the support that we get from the placement team. The placement team guides students at each step: right from preparing a CV, Cover Letters and reviewing them to preparing a profile on Fiverr and Upwork. There are special sessions that are conducted for online platforms like LinkedIn. I never knew that LinkedIn can be such a powerful platform for branding and getting freelance work. The placement teams regularly conduct online sessions for cold emailing to potential clients, the importance of regularly posting quality content on LinkedIn etc.

Freelancing is the best way by which a student can gain practical knowledge at the same time he can fill up his pocket.
