  • Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation renew the MoU with Sri Ramachandra University

    Chennai : Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation, Yonsei University health systems of Image 1Korea and Sri Ramachandra University have renewed their partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding to provide academic cooperation and patient care services.

    Hyundai Foundation, Yonsei University and SRU first signed a MOU in 2012 which focused on providing medical support for local patients, patient’s invitation to Korea for treatment, education for local doctors and on-site education from Korean doctors.

    After a successful programme which ended in 2014, the renewal of MOU has been extended to 2017 and the two universities are aiming to support over 100 patients per year. Through this association a total of over 300 people would be benefited under this program.

    Speaking on the Occasion, Mr. BS Seo, MD & CEO, HMIL, ‘’Hyundai Foundation’s constant endeavour is to improve the lives of people and create a better environment for them. We are proud to continue the collaboration with Yonsei University and SRU. This academic exchange between the two universities will provide quality education, training, and development to healthcare and provide healthcare services for underprivileged people.’’

    Since the first collaboration in 2012 a total of 347 local patients have received medical support, 5 SRU faculty members received short term training in Korea and as part of academic co-operation, medical seminars were held for the SRU faculty members.

    Hyundai will continue to remain committed to the Indian community with the aim of being the most loved and caring car manufacturer in India.
