  • IAMR National Seminar to improve small and medium Enterprise’s profitability

    IAMR – Institute of Advanced Management and Research, Ghaziabad in association with GMA & Computer Society of India is organizing two days National Seminar which is being held on February 5th & 6th 2011 at Seminar Hall, IAMR, Ghaziabad, which is one of the top ranking B – Schools of India. Through this National practical seminar the institute will intend to generate the expert views on SME sector, and the students of IAMR and other colleges will get a first hand exposure of SME problems and solutions by Industry experts and Educational Institutions.

    This seminar will address specific problems of SME Sector through panel discussion by experts from SBI, SIDBI. NSIC, GMA, CSI and DIC in the area of increasing profitability. Similarly, thirty management and engineering colleges will be writing papers on various themes. This also will focus on minimizing known existing SME weaknesses. In this two days seminar the participants will receive high level training and carry out interactive debates on SME Sectors including practical ways of Portfolio Investments, Cost Management Tools and Strategies to beat Competition, Managing sustainable cash flows, Risk Management, Branding through quality assurance, Tax optimization etc.

    Mrs. Anshu Bansan, Joint Secretary from IAMR Says: “These Small scale industries play a very important part in the overall growth of an economy. It can be characterized by the unique feature of labor intensiveness. The importance of this industry increases manifold due to the immense employment generation potential”.

    Says Prof. C.K. Roy, Head, Incubation, Innovation Centre, IAMR “Small scale industries can be characterized with the special feature of adopting labor intensive approach for commodity production. As these industries lack capital, so they utilize the labor power for the production goods. The main advantage of such a process lies in the absorption of the surplus amount of labor in the economy that was not being absorbed by the large and capital intensive industries. This, in turn, helps the system in scaling down the extent of unemployment as well as poverty”.

    IAMR shall also be inaugurating an Incubation Centre on 5th Feb.2011 to foster innovation, research, and entrepreneurial activities for small and medium industries. This incubation centre will provide a platform to Start-ups prospective entrepreneurs to convert their innovative ideas into commercially viable products. The goal of this Incubation Center at IAMR, Ghaziabad is to promote technology based entrepreneurship and thereby facilitate practical application of knowledge for public use. IAMR-IC wishes to facilitate the creation of ideas and inventions that benefit Indian Society.
