Haryana:  It is a matter of immense pleasure and pride for us to break the news that MediaAgility’s riveting smartphone app, iFitnessPedia, has won recognition and accolades at one of India’s most prestigious technology contests – AppFAME Mobile Apps Showcase, held by NASSCOM EMERGE. It has been recognised as one of the best app on social, mobile and cloud platforms. The award is established to acknowledge the emerging companies with new and fascinating applications that are easily available, creative and unique in themselves.

There was a set of criteria on the basis of which the suitability of the various participating applications was adjudged. The mobile platforms the applications could successfully run on, their use of latest technologies, the size of the target market who’ll find the application easily accessible, the revenue generated etc. were some of the key points taken into consideration.The jury for the contest comprised of some of the most eminent figures in the IT industry.

Out of over a 100 apps that participated, there were a total of 45 applicants who qualified for the contest. The companies (12), who made the final cut, were then invited for the demo round through web conferencing. Mobile emulators etc. were used by App developers to showcase the performance and capabilities of their respective Apps. At the end the jury was able to pick only 7 Apps as winners, iFitnessPedia being one of the seven. This application, designed for the Google Android Marketplace, Amazon Store and the Apple App store, provides its users with an exciting virtual tour to some of the most sought-after places and routes in the world. The winning apps were showcased at the EMERGEOUT Conclave on 12th August 2011, at Gurgaon.
