    IIM Bangalore vie for the title of ‘Amazing Champions of Energy’

    Bangalore: As part of the second edition of its successful campus engagement programme- Amazing Champions of Energy (ACE) – II, conducted by Cairn India Limited, the winners of IIM Bangalore will participate in the grand finale to be held in Gurgaon on 27th January, 2014. The finalists- Nareshbabu Vadditandra, Rajesh Kumar Sanga, Siva Manepalli and RamaKrishna Reddy P V from IIM-Bangalore, will take on the best of talents from institutes across India. A total of 21 teams from eminent institutes will participate in the finale.

    IIM Bangalore has been one of the brightest teams so far in the competition and stands a good chance to emerge as the proud winner in the final. The top three teams will be awarded with Rs. 5 lakh, 2 lakh and 1 lakh for the first, second and third position respectively. In addition, each member of the winning team will be awarded an iPad.

    Cairn India, the world’s fastest growing energy company according to Platts, had initiated the ACE contest to engage the brightest minds in India through case study competitions, on-campus talks and presentations. Through ACE, the company collaborates with leading educational institutes across the country in an endeavour to groom young talent for the energy sector.

    ACE-II has brought together nearly 10,000 students from across 25 premier campuses in India to brainstorm on the critical issue of ‘Oil Subsidy’, which has multiple facets – economic, political and social. Cairn India believes that by championing and driving various issues pertaining to the energy sector, the nation stands to benefit from a more vibrant, enriched and active oil and gas sector.
