New Delhi: India Meteorological Department, IMD, has issued red alerts for Kerala and Coastal Karnataka expecting Heavy to very heavy rainfall with the possibility of extremely heavy downpours today. It has also warned Andhra Pradesh, Konkan, and Goa of heavy to very heavy rainfall and issued orange alerts for these states during the next three to four days.

The weather agency also predicted isolated very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall activity over west coast till tomorrow. It said, isolated heavy rainfall is also very likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya during the next five days.
