Mumbai : . UBM Index Fairs announces the launch of its Silver Jubilee Edition to be held in Mumbai this November, promising to wow the industry with its signature business + design focus. Mr. Liyakat Ali Khan, Managing Director, UBM Index Trade Fairs Pvt. Ltd., says, “Over the years Index Fairs has clung tenaciously to its guiding principle of being a focused B2B event, with a clear focus to the architect, designer and builder community, and overall goal of creating a true platform for the industry.”

The fair welcomes a striking array of suppliers from distinct segments: furniture, furnishings and decorative light and artifacts; kitchen and appliances; office and contract furniture and fixtures; intermediates for interiors such as flooring, doors, shutters, laminate, paint, architectural and Building Materials; Architectural Hardware, Spanning an Impressive 300,000 square feet area and is expected to receive a footfall of over 30000 trade and professional visitors. A new feature of the fair is the prominence of Indian Designers, showcasing in a space all their own : The Indian Design Pavilion features designers Miheer Fayzee, Mukul Goyal, Aziz Kanchwala, Namrata Baruwa Shroff, Pooja Malhotra, Apeksha Samani, Natasha Bohra and more.

Always a key features of the Index Fairs is the large array of international products, the 2013 edition of Index Fairs is the proud host to companies from Italy, Germany, Spain, Turkey, The Netherlands, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Japan, Belgium, Portugal, France, Austria and Taiwan.

The fair will incorporate The Index Design Boulevard, known for its concept design, is a space far ahead of it’s time and an important part of the path to better design. This year IDB sees the work of Ar. Jude D’Souza, Vibhor Sogani, Kanika Bawa, Ar. Annkur Khosla and Vyom Mehta.

KUDOS Gallery, a space where exceptional work is honoured by a display at the event, where the architect or designer comes in to sign a giant blowout of their work. At the second edition of KUDOS we address the most essential and fundamental issues of Open Green Spaces in Mumbai.  This space will feature inspirational work of Seven Eminent Architects, creating Key Green Corridors concepts for the city, viz. Ar. Hafeez Contractor, Ar. P K Das, Ar. Abraham John, Ar. Brinda Somaya, Ar. Jayashree Bhalla, Ar. Aniket Bhagwat and Ar. Karan Grover.

Index Fairs will launch new industry interactions in the form of a debate over launch with a focus on Two key industries : Light and Kitchen. These interactive sessions, are a conversation between specifiers and suppliers to debate best practices in the industry, products and service within these industry segments.

Index Fairs also partners with key developers to create lounge spaces for visitors to talk business while touring the fair. The lounge partners this year include industry veterans such as Jaycee Homes and Progressive Group.
