Hyderabad :  The Atlanta Foundation is a registered trust to support the

education of underprivileged students. To raise funds for this, the foundation along with prominent industry forums namely NASSCOM, ITsAP, TiE, FICCI and (SAAP) brings India’s biggest corporate cycling event, The Republic Ride – 2013 at the Gachibowli Stadium on January 26 on the occasion of the Republic Day. The ride is in its 4th year. Participants include ADP, GE, Deloitte, Broadridge, Invesco, DuPont, CA, Infosys, TCS, Wells Fargo, Franklin Templeton, and many more. The ride will have distance options of 100Kms, 75Kms, 50Kms, 25Kms. This starts at the stadium, goes outside and ends at the stadium. The shorter distances of 2KMs, 5KMs and 10KMs will be within the stadium complex.

100Kms riders will receive a medal and certificate while the rest of the riders will get a certificate.

What sets this Republic Ride apart from the rest of the events is that this time we celebrate The Anthem, The Flag, The Spirit in the following way –

The Anthem : Madanapalle in Chittoor district is the birthplace of the tune of our National Anthem. Students from Madanapalle will sing the National Anthem during the Flag Hoisting.

The Flag : Watch the first-ever public screening of the award-winning short-film ‘Jana Gana Mana’ by debutant director Vijay Das. This movie is on the hard reality of what our National Flag & Anthem mean to uneducated street kids who sell them on the road.

The Spirit : Witness an exclusive 100-women cycling team spreading the message of ‘Strong Woman, Strong Nation’. Watch the Aero-Skippers perform their energetic rope skipping act. These young children from Bhimavaram are four-time national award winning skipping champions. And finally catch 50 pro-cyclists race with each other for a big cash prize at the Republic Criterium Race. This race is organized in association with the District Cycling Association of Hyderabad, affiliated to the Cycling Association of Andhra Pradesh & the Cycling Federation of India.

In addition to all of this, play a new game – CapItL where you need to match 100 capitals to 100 countries’ flags spread across the venue. The winner with the maximum correct answers, wins a surprise gift.

But what truly sets this event apart is its social edge. The goal is to raise awareness and funds for the education of under-privileged students, namely –
