  • India shows conclusive evidence of Pak F-16 jets violating Indian Airspace

    India has said, it has conclusive evidence of Pakistan F-16 jets violating Indian airspace to target its military posts following which the Indian Air Force shot down one F-16 in aerial engagement.

    In a joint press briefing of the three Services in New Delhi On Thursday evening, Air Vice Marshal R G K Kapoor said, Pakistan Air Force’s jets attempting to target military installations were intercepted by Indian Air Force fighter aircraft which thwarted their plans.

    He said, although Pakistan Air Force bombs fell in Indian Army Formation compounds, no damage was caused to Military Installations. He said, there is enough evidence to show that Pakistan’s F-16 aircraft were used in this mission through their electronic signatures.

    Air Vice Marshal Kapoor said, Indian Air Force is looking forward to the safe return of its Wing Commander Abhinandan from Pakistan’s custody after Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s announcement in this regard.

    Speaking to media persons, Major General of Army S S Mahal said that mechanised forces have been put on standby and troops are ready to deal with any security challenge. He assured the nation that the Army is fully prepared and in a heightened state of readiness to respond to any provocation by Pakistan.

    Talking to reporters, Rear Admiral of Indian Navy, D S Gujral said, the Indian Navy is deployed in the high state of readiness and remains poised in all three dimensions- on the surface, undersea and in the air to deter, prevent and defeat any misadventure by Pakistan in the maritime domain.
